“The Most Experienced SVO Team You’ve Never Heard Of”
Back in April 2005 following the decision by Exel Specialist Vehicle Programme to close it’s RAF Alconbury operation, a fledgling SVO was spawned in Flitwick, Bedfordshire by Martin Clohisey and Ian Webber, both formerly of Exel.
As much by luck than judgement, the timing of this new beginning coincided with the acquisition and subsequent re-location of what was at that time Vauxhall SVO, from Biggleswade to their new site near Huntingdon. Over the future months more & more experienced SVO Technicians migrated from the old “SVO” to the now growing EVO.
In April 2006 having outgrown its early home, EVO left Flitwick and moved to bigger premises in Shefford, Bedfordshire. Although it was always known it would only ever be a temporary home for the quickly maturing EVO, the Shefford site allowed the continued expansion to occur without restriction. The fast maturing business was quickly gaining more and more credibility and word of mouth recommendations were ensuring that it was not just repeat business that was keeping EVO and its team on their toes.
Less than 18 months after moving to Shefford, EVO were in need of relocation once more. This time it was important to ensure that the move would be to a long term home, where future expansion could be accommodated on site and most importantly the company’s greatest asset, its experienced workforce could be retained. After plenty of searching for a suitable location EVO settled on Barton-Le-Clay, Bed’s as its new HQ. The new site now boasts over 9,000 sq ft of production space and the team has grown accordingly to ensure even more quality conversions can be turned out on time to the company’s growing customer base.
The team has been assembled from a wealth of SVO environment experience, gained right across the board from Peugeot, Ford & Vauxhall SVO’s. Many of the team can boast over 10 years experience in this environment and therefore collectively EVO are “The Most Experienced SVO Team You’ve Never Heard Of”.
